Europe's leading contemporary garden show Urban Gardens , provided the perfect setting for Scenic Blue to sign up its latest franchise territory to Graeme Jackson - a change manager currently based in the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean! Graeme will be trading in the tropical sunshine for the stunning natural beauty of the English countryside when he joins the Scenic Blue network to establish a franchise based in York.

The show provided a fantastic opportunity for Scenic Blue to invite a number of franchisee prospects to witness at first hand the tremendous potential within the domestic garden market and the unique business opportunity which the purchase of a Scenic Blue franchise represents. Urban Gardens also proved an excellent vehicle to raise awareness of the significant and growing credibility of the Scenic Blue offering within its defined industry sector.

In addition to exhibiting at the show, Scenic Blue ran an interactive "Urban Gardens Challenge" which invited members of the public to submit designs for a small urban garden which were then built live on stage in just one hour by the Scenic Blue Design Team. The company was also the key sponsor of the UK's first Young Garden Designer of the Year competition, with UK managing director Judy Behl sitting on the judging panel alongside celebrated TV presenter and garden designer, Diarmuid Gavin.

Scenic Blue is looking to appoint a number of new franchisees in 2005, franchise director Tony Mundella comments "we're interested in speaking to prospects who have strong project management and people management skills. Ours is a business that requires the ability to effectively juggle a number of responsibilities at any one time. Most of our existing franchisees have come from senior or middle management positions with responsibility for company/departmental performance and management of staff"
