Media centre PRESS RELEASE issued on behalf of Scenic Blue SCENIC BLUE DIGS FOR YOUNG GARDEN DESIGNER TALENT AT URBAN GARDENS 2005 Scenic Blue, the UKs only landscaping franchise has joined forces with Urban Gardens 2005 to launch the first ever nationwide search to find the UKs Young Garden Designer of the Year. The competition is designed to unearth the UKs most talented young garden designers, offering them the ideal platform from which to launch a professional career in garden design. Scenic Blue will be responsible for the build of the winning garden design which will be used to create a focal show garden exhibit at next years Urban Gardens, to be held at Olympia 5-8 May 2005. Entries will be judged by a high profile panel of experts including Diarmuid Gavin; Neil Huck, chairman of BALI; author and journalist, Rob Cassy and Andrew Fisher Tomlin, from the Society of Garden Designers. Scenic Blue managing director, Judy Behl who will also sit on the judging panel comments cutting edge, innovative design has always been the cornerstone of the Scenic Blue offering so we are delighted to be associated with this competition which will give the UKs up and coming designers an opportunity to showcase their considerable talent. The competition is free to enter and is open to UK residents aged between 18 and 30 years. All entrants should be garden design students, those who have studied garden design in the past or practising garden designers. The winner will be given the opportunity to create a show garden at Urban Gardens 2005 with £10,000 worth of support from Scenic Blue.
